This was my first visit with Melanie. She was phenomenal. Very professional, polite and helpful. Always asked for consent, explained what she was doing and checked in with me throughout the process to ensure I was doing okay during the appointment. I also loved that she gave me several opportunities to ask questions and ensured I fully understood the treatment and "homework". I feel like she went above and beyond what I had expected from this appointment. I have already recommened her to others!

My experience with Dr. Melanie has improved my quality of life immensely. I started having UTI symptoms often, for years on and off, and antibiotics weren’t working. I couldn’t sleep, it impacted my work, plans with friends, my dating life, and was honestly terrible (if you’ve had a UTI, you understand lol). My mother heard acupuncture can help so I searched on Google and saw Dr. Melanie specializes in Uterine health and made an appointment. My first appointment, I felt like I was finally truly heard about how this was impacting my life, and together we made a treatment plan that worked for me. Dr. Melanie was confident that within 3-5 months she could improve my symptoms. Within 2 treatments, 1 week, my symptoms started going away. I get small flare ups, but they’re getting shorter and shorter every time. I just finished my 8th session in 4 weeks, and I can honestly say 80% of my symptoms are gone. I’ve been diagnosed with Endometriosis from my gyno which is causing pressure on my bladder and the flare ups, and I am sticking with Dr. Melanie to tackle that next. I can not thank her enough and if you’re experiencing similar symptoms or problems, I highly recommend trying acupuncture with her to help. 10/10 rating from me, she’s a hero in womens health, and I hope more women learn that this option is available.

I have known Melanie a few years now! She’s always wonderful to see! I just started seeing Melanie for anxiety just over a month ago and the difference her treatments have made on my physical symptoms of anxiety have been magical really! I am feeling like my body is floating at the joints instead of the constant dull aches that I had just got used to. I don’t think I realized how much tension was in every inch of my body until I started recognizing the breaks from the anxiety and the brief moments of peace in my nerves.. almost hard to describe in words! She’s brought me to tears after each treatment and the release is like the best cry of your life but you feel refreshed and more free afterwards! Incredible experience seeing Melanie! She is SO intelligent and knows her stuff! 100% have her business card up in my op at work for my patients to see! Thank you Melanie!

My doula referred me to Melanie at Accessible Acupuncture for prenatal care in the weeks leading up to my labour and delivery. I went for one session each week for about seven or eight weeks, with the aim of each session being some type preparation for a smooth and quick delivery. Each experience was incredibly positive and I feel like Melanie really took the time to listen to my concerns. Together, we worked on loosening up my tight hips and ripening my cervix. At every step of our appointments, she would check in to make sure I was comfortable, and she would frequently ask for consent before taking any actions on my body. I ended up going into spontaneous labour in the evening of my due date. Early labour lasted around 18-20 hours, active labour was around 12 hours, and I pushed for one hour β€” my baby was born at 40+2. To the best of my knowledge, this isn't too bad for a first time mom (especially one with tight hips!) Overall, and to my surprise, the pushing stage was the easiest part for me, and I believe this was due in part to my time with Melanie. My pain relief was breathing techniques, tylenol, gravol, and laughing gas.

Melanie has been an incredible source of information, calm and support during the first trimester of my pregnancy. I struggled with severe nausea, gagging/ retching, strong food aversions and morning sickness since week 5 and I am now 11 weeks. The acupuncture helped to battle the symptoms when medication did not which was relief as it took a while to convince my doc that the meds were not working! Needless to say it's been rough and during this time Melanie suggested at home remedies, simple food & drink swaps and routine changes. With Melanie's help, I feel have slowly regained some normality in my life and would happily recommend her to anyone! Thank you so, so much!!

Melanie was able to help with my insomnia! I would wake up and not be able to sleep for 2-3 hours during the night. This was the first time I have tried accupuncture and am so happy I did! Melanie's treatment has enabled me to get 7-8 hours of sleep drug free. I feel like a new person.

I had a very positive and helpful experience seeing Melanie for prenatal acupuncture. I was nervous about any kind of treatments during pregnancy, but knowing that Melanie was certified in treating pregnant women made me feel much more comfortable. Melanie is very thorough and makes sure all of your questions and concerns are being addressed. I had developed really bad hip pain that was almost intolerable. Melanie was able to pin point the cause of this pain and treat it with acupuncture. I don't think I would have made it through otherwise! Melanie is very professional and kind, and I alway felt very welcomed at her practice. I strongly suggest seeing her for all of your prenatal/postpartum needs!

Dr. Melanie was amazing. She had great feedback to give me about all of my conditions, and communicated very well. Very accepting and calming place. I wanted an increase in my energy and I found about a 30% increase as well as some much needed pain relief. If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend giving Melanie a try.
