A1 Bus Ltd

My group of 60 pax visited the Okanagan area July 2019. Our schedule was busy and micro managed down to 15 minute segments. Planned from the UK months in advance, the A1 office was helpful, courteous and responsive at all times - it really aided our planning. The buses were on time for every pick up and drop off and accommodated all last minute changes (plans 'eh!). The drivers were helpful and nice to be around. We use A1 for vehicle rentals very frequently. They have always done all they can do to accommodate our requests, even going above and beyond on many occasions. Their vehicles are clean, and well maintained, and they are always reliable. We are incredibly thankful to have a wonderful company like this who we can rely on to help us run our business the way we need to.

As a professional driver and tour guide, I have been hired a couple of times to drive groups around the Okanagan, in vehicles from A1. I have been impressed by this company each time. New tires, clean inside and out, all lights and safety equipment installed and working, they are top notch! And I am hard to impress! As a driver, too, the buses have handled well, brakes are good, everything is just great. I highly recommend them.

A1 buses were beyond amazing to work with! We used them for our wedding. There were multiple hotels they had to pick up from with strict time schedules and they did not skip a beat. I booked with A1 bus company in June of 2021 for my upcoming wedding on New Years eve 2021. Of course New Years eve being a busy day I made sure to book well ahead of time to ensure all my guests will have a safe ride after my wedding. A1 booked with me and took my deposit. Fast forward to November, I phoned A1 bus to confirm everything was still good to go. The lady who answered could not find my reservation at first and seemed frazzled when she realized she had not booked drivers yet for the night. Now today, Nov 10, 2021 A1 bus company just called and canceled on me. Why would a professional company take your reservation, take a deposit just to cancel their service for you 7 weeks out from a wedding. Avoid this company unless you want to be disappointed and scrambling last minute for an event. Im wondering if I had never called would they have notified me that they were unable to find a drivers? Would we have been left on the day of and no one show up? how can you not find drivers when you are literally a company that provides busses and drivers. Poor customer service. Still waiting for a manager to contact me to explain what happened.

As a customer service manager myself I am appalled by the service provided by this company. My sister booked this company to transport her wedding guests from the venue to the hotel afterwards. The wedding is taking place on NYE so we prepared well in advance back in early summer knowing that it’s a very busy time of year. The company took our money and assured us the reservation was in place. Upon making follow up/check in calls with all the vendors last week, we were told by A1 that they had not yet secured drivers for the event and that they would need to get back to us. When they did get back to us, it wasn’t with good news. They told us the reservation was now cancelled….7 weeks out from the wedding in the busiest night of the year. The part about this that is most frustrating is that had WE not called to check in, what would have happened? We would have come out of the venue at 1am on NYE to no kind of transport. I can’t even begin to imagine the horrible impact this would have had on my sisters wedding day, it would have been ruined sitting outside in the rain and cold waiting for 200 taxis to take everyone to the hotel (which would have taken literal hours due to the fact is NYE) The company knew this was for a wedding yet that didn’t seem to impact the significance of the booking. For a company who’s entire business model is based on bus transport, it’s a little concerning that there is so much disorganization regarding “securing drivers”. To top it all off, the managers of this company are REFUSING to call my sister and explain to her how this happened and offer a sincere apology. Horrible service from start to finish. Look elsewhere before booking here!

I have been using the team at A1 buses for my large events transportation needs for nearly 10 years. Now using them a few times a year for all my festivals and community events. The office staff are great to work with, they are happy to accommodate, the bus drivers are helpful and my event guests always feel safe. Already booking in our 2022 event needs to ensure we get booked into their calendar. Highly recommend.

Have used A1 many times over the years for weddings, wine tours and bike trips. They’ve always provided excellent service with very reasonable rates. Their fleet is very diverse with everything from 15 passenger vans to full size school buses and everything in between.
