Stan has over 30 years of experience with public accounting firms and the private industry, making him a valuable asset to our team. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (a position formerly referred to as a Certified Management Accountant) licensed in Alberta. He is also federally designated to work as a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) in Alberta.
Before joining the A.C. Waring & Associates team, Stan worked as a Vice President of Finance for a mid-sized engineering and inspection company that specialized in providing professional services to several sectors, including oil and gas, power generation, pulp and paper, and chemical industries.
Stan also co-authored and presented a paper on creditor enforcement as part of the Lorman Professional Update series and has given lectures on insolvency to the Edmonton chapter of the Society of Management Accountants, the Edmonton Insurance Underwriter’s Association, and other non-profit groups.
Stan has always believed in the positive power of sports for youth and children. In the past, he has served as both a coach and a director for the Strathcona County Minor Football Association and the Sherwood Park Minor Lacrosse Association.

The integrity of this companies motto is to keep you in bankruptcy for years beyond the discharge date. Then they want you to do a customer proposal!!
What’s the point.? We have paid $5600 ever the amount requested. And now they are flat out lying.
The rep Stan never returns calls or emails. Never!!!
This will never be resolved because they aren’t working for you. They seem to be against you. It’s a cash cow.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was supposed to be discharged from bankruptcy after 9 months. This company held me in bankruptcy for 19 MONTHS because they refused to believe I wasn't hiding stocks in my bank. My bank wasn't replying to their repeated requests because I WASN'T HIDING ANY STOCKS. There were so many errors and mishandling of my file made on their end and they refused to take responsibility. Look for another company to go through. This will stay on my credit score for an additional 10 months for NO REASON still impacting me and my credit score years later. Do not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ AC Waring & Associates have been absolutely wonderful through the hardest time of my life, I am truly grateful! I want to personally thank Stan he is absolutely amazing at his job and he is such a pleasure to deal with. He is unbelievably knowledgeable, friendly and kind I am still in my bankruptcy however he makes it pleasant for me. I was terrified walking into my initial meeting as the word "Bankruptcy" scared me to death, Stan had me smiling walking out of the office. He made my horrible financial situation liveable and my stress subsided recently after filing with him. The bad reviews on here shock me as I have dealt with several people at AC waring for different points of contact and all of them are wonderful. The bad reviews make me question if the reviewer was really rude and unpleasant to deal with? If you are on the fence get a consultation and hear your options there is light at the end of the tunnel and a solution for your debt. Thank you so much Stan, I really appreciate you! - Stephen

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We as a family were going through a very bad phase of life and unable to make even minimal payment to our creditors as we had major loss in business due to COVID and having a son with autism makes things more difficult. At that point and time we decided to file a proposal with all our creditors. Searching for right company was a difficult task and even the companies were not answering all our queries to our satisfaction. I got in touch with SHAHNAZ from AC WARING and I must tell you how much impressed I am with the service she provided. She is a very good listener and could understand our anxiety and from where we are coming. She took time to explain in details about how proposal function and all the pros and cons. And I am so impressed how smoothly everything went through. I would recommend anyone to take service from Shahnaz if they are having hardtime. She explains things at ease and do her best to help all her customer. She is an angel. I wish her all the good luck and would definitely recommend her to my family and friends .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff and professionals at A.C. Waring & Associates are wonderful. They are patient, compassionate, helpful, knowledgeable and, most importantly, calm. Personally, I have a personality that can go from zero to 60 on the stress scale. Stan and Beth can calm that right down and put my mind not only at ease but back on track.
Bankruptcy feels dark and cold and lonely, but they provide light, warmth, and support to make it feel less so.
Throughout my journey with them, I have not only improved my financial situation but also improved myself. They have helped me realize that financial health goes hand in hand with all other aspects of one's health, mentally, emotionally, and physically.
I am so happy that my past self contacted them because my present self is now back on track, and I know my future self will be so grateful and enjoying much more calmer waters thanks to that choice I made.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When you do get ahold of them they can be very helpful. However having a call returned or a reply to an email can take days if it does happen. You can’t pay debit or email money transfer or through online banking making it less than convenient to make your payments. They need to move into the 21 century. It’s a sea of bankers boxes like an office scene from an 80s film.
